When life gets loud — work, stress, all the things — the first thing that disappears is time for yourself. This is two hours just for you.

Does this sound familiar?
That voice that says "not good enough, not yet, what will they think", it didn't start with you. And it shows up everywhere. Not just in art.
An idea sits in your head for months. You wait for the perfect moment that never comes.
Always on. Work, decisions, the feeling you should be doing more, even on weekends.
Something sits in your chest. Not sadness, not anxiety exactly. Just weight, and no outlet.
Everything has a purpose, a deadline. The last time you did something purely for yourself?
You want it done right, but right keeps moving. Projects stall, decisions drag.
A parent, a teacher. You've outgrown the moment, but the voice is still loud.
Why watercolor
Watercolor is water. And water does what it wants.
Unlike other media where you can control every stroke, watercolor forces you to work with the unexpected. A drop bleeds past the line. A colour blooms in a direction you didn't plan. You can't undo it, you can only respond.
That "mistake" you didn't choose? It becomes part of the painting. And slowly, something shifts, you stop fighting what you can't control, and start working with it instead.
"Watercolor trains the brain to abandon rigid, perfectionist thinking patterns, and carry that flexibility into everyday life."
What past attendees say
"I came stressed from a hectic work week. I left feeling like I'd taken a long breath I didn't know I needed."
"I haven't painted since I was a kid. Juli made me feel like there was no wrong way to do this."
"Two hours flew by. I didn't think about emails once. That alone was worth it."
"I cried a little, laughed a lot, and went home with a painting I actually love, not just because it's beautiful, but because of what I felt while doing it."
✦ A peek inside
Soft light, slow brushes, pigment doing its thing. Real moments from past sessions, no posing, no pressure.

Your host
I'm a Colombian artist and UX designer based in Medellín. I studied industrial design, and spent over four years teaching graphic design and illustration, both analogue and digital.
Painting has always been my constant. Not my career, my refuge. The place I go when life gets heavy and words aren't enough. And now, I want to share my paintings with you.
This workshop isn't about technique. It's about reconnecting with something you've been putting off, yourself.
